SVM launches “Inspira & Ação: Mares ao Mar”, a TV program on sustainability presented by Taís Lopes

More than just entertainment, the show encourages social transformation through sustainability. It premieres on August 26 on TV Verdes Mares, presented by Taís Lopes

Sistema Verdes Mares (SVM), the largest communications group in the Northeast, launched the TV program “Inspira & Ação: Mares ao Mar”, the first content under SVM’s new banner, “Mares ao Mar”, which highlights sustainability. The launch took place on August 10, for guests who watched the unprecedented first episode of the program in a UCI movie theater at the Iguatemi shopping mall in Fortaleza (CE).

Presented by journalist Taís Lopes and curated by environmental activist André Comaru, the show carries on the “Mares ao Mar” purpose of being a catalyst for positive change, shedding light on transformative stories and ideas related to ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) issues. The innovative and engaging format, which can already be seen in the opening scene, in which Taís speaks while walking on the sand of Fortaleza’s Beira-Mar, promises to enchant the audience.

“This is one of several initiatives in which we are creatively materializing our commitment, as the largest communications group in the Northeast, to provide valuable and driving information to engage the population in making sustainable choices,” said Erick Picanço, SVM’s commercial and marketing director.

Also present at the event, Fábio Ambrosio, programming director of TV Verdes Mares, commented on how the program teaches simple attitudes and motivates people to practice them on a daily basis. He also praised this addition to the channel’s schedule. “It’s going to be part of our big project which is Verdes Mares’ Super Saturday, with ‘Mistura Boa’, ‘Inspira & Ação: Mares ao Mar’ and ‘Se Liga’. And there’s much more to come,” he said.

The new production represents Taís Lopes’ entry into the entertainment segment after a career in journalism that captivated audiences. “This change in my professional career is a milestone. I’m very happy. It’s great to be able to be a bridge to alert people to the situation of our ocean. I believe that after this first chapter, people will say ‘gee, I really need to do something, and do it yesterday’. Let’s do our bit?”, he called out to everyone, adding that he has been learning a lot from André Comaru.

The activist and curator of the program warned that we need to take care of the ocean, as it provides the air for 3 out of every 5 of our breaths. “The responsibility of TV Verdes Mares to bring a program like this and talk about ocean sustainability is what I call a coup. It’s a very opportune moment because we’re in what the United Nations calls ‘The Decade of the Ocean’,” said Comaru. The period runs from 2021 to 2030. “Nothing like a great idea at the right time. Congratulations to everyone from the Verdes Mares System who is bringing this super incredible project to life,” said Rômulo Alexandre Soares, a lawyer and creator of the Winds for Future movement, which is organizing Kite for The Ocean, a call for kitesurfers from all over the world to sail 44,000 km, between August 25 this year and May 2024, with the aim of removing 44 tons of waste from coastal environments.

Premiering on August 26, “Inspira & Ação: Mares ao Mar” airs on TV Verdes Mares on Saturdays at 11:45 am.
