In partnership with the Civil Defense of Campos do Jordão, Minalba Brasil donated 29 1.5-liter pallets of Minalba mineral water without gas to help more than 2,500 people who were displaced by the heavy rains.
Minalba Brasil – a GEQ (Edson Queiroz Group) company, leader in the Brazilian mineral water market – donated 30,000 liters of mineral water, the equivalent of 29 1.5-liter pallets of Minalba non-carbonated water, to the people of the northern coast of São Paulo, a region hit hard by the rains that fell at the weekend.
The aid was made possible with the support of the Civil Defense of Campos do Jordão, the city where the company has one of its factories. From there, the products went to Caraguatatuba, where they were distributed to São Sebastião and Ubatuba, the municipalities that suffered the most from the storms.
The aid comes at a critical time for those affected by the tragedy, who due to the blockages on the Rio-Santos highway, the main road access route to the region’s cities, caused by landslides that occurred at various points along the road, are suffering from shortages of food and drinking water.
