Minalba Brasil launches Brazil’s first canned water

Minalba Brasil lança primeira água em lata do Brasil

Minalba, a brand belonging to the Minalba Brasil portfolio, leader in the country’s water segment, will be available in new packaging from January: the aluminum can. 100% and infinitely recyclable, the innovation is another step towards the brand’s strategy of expanding the sustainability of its product portfolio, with the aim of “taking care to always have”.

“This launch is directly linked to the brand’s attentive look at new consumer behaviors. There is a growing search for a more sustainable life and Minalba has this purpose. Everything is connected to the Edson Queiroz Group’s mission: to be present in people’s lives, delivering ease and well-being through sustainable businesses committed to the present and future generations,” explains Abelardo Rocha, chairman of the Edson Queiroz Group.

The Rio de Janeiro summer is an icon of Brazil and we believe that canned water has everything to do with this period, which is one of strong contact with nature. As well as being sustainable, Minalba canned water freezes faster, works with other drinking occasions and is ideal for events and outdoor activities. Our entire chain has worked hard to bring this innovation to Brazil,” adds Antonio Vidal, managing director of Minalba Brasil.

Minalba natural mineral water in a can is the same water that consumers already know and trust, from a unique source in Campos do Jordão, with a designation of origin. The product will be distributed in 310ml format, in both sparkling and still versions, and will initially be sold at strategic points in Rio de Janeiro and will then also be available in other Brazilian states.
