Every woman has a great story! And often individual stories are intertwined with the history of the company. International Women’s Day was another opportunity for the Edson Queiroz Group to recognize the strength of the women who are part of our day-to-day work, by promoting celebrations throughout the month of March.
In this year’s tribute, we decided to tell all our employees some of the life stories of our female collaborators, highlighting their personal and professional achievements. These are stories of determination, overcoming, strength and success from women who are proud to be part of our team.
As part of the celebrations, last week (5 and 6/3) a number of treats were handed out: a massage service, gifts and a photo shoot.
In a letter sent to employees on Monday (9/3), the Group’s chairman, Abelardo Rocha, recalled the inspiring career of a woman who has marked the Group’s history – D. Yolanda Queiroz. The wife of our founder Edson Queiroz represented strength and resilience. With her unique personality and acumen, Yolanda changed the course of GEQ, making the conglomerate achieve surprising results.
Abelardo also reinforced his commitment to the pursuit of gender equality and inclusion within the Group’s companies, providing an environment in which everyone has the same opportunities.
