The Verdes Mares System (SVM) will launch the podcast “Elas no Esporte” (Women in Sports) this Wednesday, May 24th, at 3:00 PM, on Verdinha’s YouTube channel. Multiplatform, the content will also be aired on TV Diário (open channel) and Verdinha FM radio. Every week, there will be a new episode. The program is the first initiative in Ceará media focusing on the female sports scene.
The goal of the podcast is to highlight women who experience sports and their stories of dedication and overcoming challenges. Each episode features a character who shares her relationship with sports, shedding light on historical facts, emotional moments, curiosities, behind-the-scenes revelations; always with lightness and good humor. The interviewees include athletes, commentators, player agents, executives, players’ wives, among others.
The podcast host is journalist Denise Santiago, also the host of the sports program Jogada 1o tempo on TV Diário, with extensive experience in sports journalism. “The podcast is also a space to showcase personalities from Ceará, a state considered a breeding ground for athletes,” she says.
The guest for the debut episode is Janaína Queiroz. She is the coordinator of female projects at Ceará Sporting Club, a groundbreaking initiative in the state that aims to implement actions for women’s safety in the stadium and a VIP area for autistic individuals, among others. The following week, the guest will be the narrator from the Cearense Football Federation, Patrícia Castro.
