Esmaltec, a company of the Edson Queiroz Group, a leader in sales of stoves and water coolers, donated six thousand bottles of 70% alcohol hand sanitizer to the Municipality of Maracanaú. According to information from the municipal executive branch, the products will be distributed to families in situations of social vulnerability in the region. The action is part of the various initiatives carried out by companies of the Edson Queiroz Group in combating the coronavirus in Ceará.
“Our initiative is to help our society in some way to get through this critical moment. We are an appliance industry with a very clear purpose of being committed to the present and future generations. And even more so with Ceará, our homeland, and the municipality of Maracanaú, home to our factory, to whom we always owe a special look,” says Marcelo Pinto, Superintendent Director/CEO of Esmaltec.
The delivery takes place in partnership with the Department of Social Assistance of Maracanaú. The bottles used are donated by Minalba Brasil, a food and beverage company of the Edson Queiroz Group.
Esmaltec was also one of the partners in the production of 40 thousand face shields for healthcare professionals in the state of Ceará. The action is shared with the National Service for Industrial Learning (Senai) and the Federation of Commerce of the State of Ceará (Fiec). In this cause, Esmaltec produced 80 thousand plastic components that would serve as support for the face shields. All materials have already been delivered to the public health network and private hospitals in the state.
